 Firework Safety Distances
In order that your display is both spectacular and safe, there are a few basic but essential safety distances that you must conform to when firing your show.
Audience Safety Zone
A minimum of 25m is required between the nearest firework and any member of the public or audience. Your display will not be any less spectacular if you can make this distance 50m, in fact your audience’s sightline can be improved by going further back. Your audience should only be upwind of the display and only on one side of the firing site.
Firing Zone
A safe area in which to set up your display is also required. This should be flat or sloping away from the audience and be fenced off. Ideally you should have sufficient area to move freely around the site without hindrance between the fireworks that you have set out.
Fall Out Zone
An area DOWNWIND of the display of a minimum of 50m, where smoke, sparks & debris from the fireworks can fall safely is also necessary. This area needs to be free of people, animals, car parks or any property that could be damaged.
