Glasgow Special Events

Following a hugely successful November 5th display at The Green, Glasgow City Council Events Department asked Pains to provide the pyro magic for the switch-on of the 2007 Christmas Lights in George Square from the roof of the City Hall.

A huge crowd was enthralled as the fantastic lights were switched on. This was to be the second of four displays for the city, the other two being for Hogmanay and a special moment by Pains SFX to mark the announcement of Glasgow’s successful bid for the 2014 Commonwealth Games.

The team of SFX technicians filled the Old Fruit Market in Albion Street with masses and masses of confetti to give the moment a real celebratory feel.
